Summary
Lux Helpers has no account, no sign-up and no login. We do not collect your name, your email address, your phone number or where you are.
The directory travels inside the app, so browsing it, searching it and reading a listing send nothing anywhere.
The one thing that leaves your phone is advertising, handled by Google. That is the only outside company involved, and it is set out in full below.
When you call or message a provider you are contacting them directly. We are not in that conversation and receive no record of it.

Google AdMob — advertising
Google LLC
Shows the advertising that pays for the app, and asks for your consent first where the law requires it. This is the only part of Lux Helpers that uses the internet, and the only company the app communicates with.
What they can see
- Your device’s advertising ID — a resettable number, not your name
- IP address, and rough location worked out from it
- Device information such as model, operating system version and language
- Which ads were shown, viewed or tapped
This is collected by Google LLC, not by us, and is governed by its own policies.
Information we collect
None. There is no account, no sign-up and no login, so there is no name, email address or phone number for us to hold. The app never asks Android where you are, and never asks the phone for your location — the directory covers Luxembourg and is not filtered by where you happen to be standing. We run no servers of our own, keep no database and collect no analytics, so there is nowhere for anything about you to be sent.
What stays on your phone
The app remembers two things, and both live on your phone only. They are never transmitted, never copied to us, and they go when you uninstall.

- So the ones you want to keep are there next time you open the app.
- The listings you opened recently
- The most recent twenty, so you can get back to one without searching for it again. You can clear this at any time from the History tab.
The directory itself travels inside the app as a file rather than being fetched from a server. Opening a category, searching, filtering by language and reading a listing make no network request at all.
Permissions
The app asks for two things, and both exist for the advertising described above: permission to use the internet, so an advert can be requested, and permission to see whether you are online, so it does not try when there is no connection. Nothing else in the app uses either of them.
It does not ask for permission to make phone calls, and this is worth stating plainly because it is the permission a directory of phone numbers would be expected to want. Tapping Call opens your own dialler with the number filled in and leaves the last press to you. Android will not let an app place a call without that permission, so this is a limit the phone enforces rather than a promise we are making.
It asks for nothing else at all — no contacts, no location, no camera, no microphone, no files. Tapping WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with a conversation started; what happens after that is between you and WhatsApp, under their policy rather than ours.
Contacting a provider
When you call or message a provider you are contacting them directly. We are not part of that conversation, we receive no record of it, and nothing about it comes back to us. Anything you tell a provider is between you and them.
The same is true of “Manage your service”, which providers use to ask for a listing. It opens your own email app with a message already filled in. Nothing is sent until you send it, and when you do it goes to the address at the bottom of this page.
Your advertising choices
The app is free and advertising is what pays for it. Google is an independent controller for the information its advertising collects, which means it decides what happens to that information rather than acting on our instructions — the links in the section above are where Google explains it and where a request about it should go.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked for consent the first time you open the app, before any advert is requested. Declining does not remove advertising; it makes it non-personalised.
- You can change that answer at any time under Settings → Privacy settings in the app. That row appears only where a consent form applies, because elsewhere there is nothing for it to change.
- Anywhere in the world, you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Google → Ads on your phone. Deleting it stops personalised advertising everywhere, not only here.
- Information Google holds for advertising can be reviewed and managed at myadcenter.google.com.
Security and retention
Your bookmarks and your history stay in the app’s own private space, which Android keeps isolated from other apps, and they are kept until you clear them or uninstall. Because we store and transmit nothing ourselves, there is no server of ours holding anything about you and therefore none that could be breached.
Children
Lux Helpers is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app is rated for a general audience, and because it collects nothing itself there is nothing held about anyone, children included.
Your rights and choices
Most privacy policies use this section to explain how to ask a company for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected or erased. Here there is nothing to ask for: we hold none of it. Everything the app stores is already on your phone and under your control, and these are the controls you have:
- Remove any bookmark from your saved listings.
- Clear your recently-viewed history from the History tab at any time.
- Uninstall the app, or clear its data from Android Settings, to remove everything it has kept.
- Change or withdraw your advertising consent in the app, where a consent form applies.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID from your phone’s Google settings.
- Stop using the app entirely — there is no account to close and nothing left behind on any server.
Requests about the information collected for advertising should go to Google, which is the controller for it. The links in the section on other companies are where that process is set out.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published here with a new date at the top, and anything material is noted in the app’s release notes.
