The app collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no server that belongs to us — so this is not a policy choice that could quietly be reversed.
Your voice recordings are written to the app’s private storage on your phone and are never uploaded. No network request in the app carries audio.
All speech measurement happens on your device using ordinary signal processing. No speech-recognition service is involved, and no AI service sees or hears your audio.
The network is used for exactly two things: a Google Play purchase, and downloading the extra content once after you buy it.

05Your voice recordings
The app records you so you can hear yourself back, compare a recording against a model answer, and get an objective measurement of how long you spoke and how long your pauses were.
- Recordings are written to the app’s private storage on your device, where no other app can read them.
- They are never uploaded. No network request in this app carries audio.
- All speech measurement happens on your device, using ordinary signal processing. No speech-recognition service is involved, and no AI service sees or hears your audio.
- You can delete every recording at any time from inside the app.
- Uninstalling the app deletes them with it.
06Permissions

- Requested for the recording described above and for nothing else. It records only while a practice drill is open on screen, and it cannot record in the background. If you decline it, the drills still work — you simply lose the measurement.
- Internet and network state
- Used only for a Google Play purchase and for the one-time content download that follows it. Nothing else in the app uses the network.
07Your practice history
Which criteria you have reached, your drill results, your self-assessment answers and the exam date you chose are all stored on your device only. None of it is transmitted.

- If you buy full access, Google Play handles the transaction. We never see or store your payment details, and Google Play’s own policy covers that exchange.
- Downloading what you bought
- After a purchase the app downloads the extra audio and lessons once, then works offline again. That request sends nothing about you beyond what any file download necessarily reveals to the host — your IP address and which file you asked for.
Nothing else uses the network. The app is fully usable in aeroplane mode.
09No advertising, tracking or analytics
There are no ad networks, no analytics libraries, no crash-reporting services and no tracking identifiers in this app.
10Children
The app is written for adults preparing for a Norwegian language exam and is not directed at children.
11Your rights and choices
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase on request. Everything the app knows about you is on your own device and under your control:
- Delete all your recordings from inside the app, at any time.
- Decline the microphone permission and keep practising without the measurement.
- Uninstall the app to remove everything it holds.
- Manage or request a refund for your purchase through Google Play, which is where it was made.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published here with a new date at the top. Any change that involved collecting data would also require a new app release and an updated Data safety declaration on Google Play.

Klar for Muntlig is an independent practice tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse (HK-dir) or the Norwegian government.
Material quoted from HK-dir’s published documents is credited in the app. Their pages remain the authority on exam dates, fees and regulations — check there before you register.
