The short version

A summary, not a substitute — the sections below are the terms.

The app is free to use. Full access is a subscription, and you buy it from Google Play rather than from us.

It is practice material for a government language exam. It cannot promise you a result, and nothing in it is a prediction of one.

What you write in the app is yours. The app and the practice material in it are ours, licensed to you for your own study.

If something goes wrong, what we are responsible for is limited — and the limit is set out plainly below rather than buried.

What this agreement is

These terms are between you and Fly Infinity, the publisher of Klar for Muntlig. They apply when you install or use the app. If you do not accept them, do not use it — and if you have already paid, ask Google Play for a refund under their policy.

They cover the app. The website at flyinfinitystudio.com has its own terms, and the app’s privacy policy covers what the app does with your information.

We do not promise an exam result

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is near the top. Klar for Muntlig is practice material. Using it, finishing it, or doing well in it does not mean you will pass Norskprøven, and we make no claim that it improves your chances by any particular amount.

  • Your result depends on you, on the examiners, on the candidate you are paired with, and on the exam on the day. None of those is under our control.
  • The exam is set and marked by Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse (HK-dir). We are not affiliated with them and have no influence over your result.
  • The pronunciation check counts how many words of a sentence the speech recognition on your phone caught. It is not a grade for your pronunciation, it has no official standing, and it is not a prediction.
  • The app never shows an overall level, because the exam places you at your weakest criterion rather than at an average. Nothing in the app is a level you have been awarded.
  • Nothing in the app is advice about a residence or citizenship application. That is a legal matter, and the authority that decides it is the one to ask.

Information about the exam

The app and this website describe how the oral exam runs, drawing on what HK-dir publishes. We check it and date it, but regulations, fees, dates and registration windows change, and we may not update on the day they do.

Before you register, pay a fee, or rely on a date, confirm it on HK-dir’s own pages and on the official candidate portal. Where our description and theirs disagree, theirs is correct.

Paying for full access

Who you pay
Google Play, not us. The transaction, the price you see, the taxes, the renewal and any refund are handled by Google under their terms. We never see your card details.
It is a subscription
It renews until you cancel it. We name no price and no billing period here on purpose: both are set in Google Play and can be changed there without an app release, so Google Play is the only place either can be read accurately. It states both before you buy.
What you get
Every topic in the app, with all three graded tasks on each and the pronunciation check on every answer, including the answers you write yourself. It also removes the advertisement. Content is added and occasionally revised; a subscription is access to the app as it is, not to a fixed list.
What it is tied to
The Google Play account that bought it. The app finds it there with no account of ours, so a new phone restores it with nothing to remember. A topic you have paid for is fetched the first time you open it, which needs a connection and a signed-in account; after that it is available with no connection.
Cancelling
From the Google Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; it does not delete your account with us, and deleting that account does not cancel the subscription.
Refunds
Google Play’s refund policy applies, and requests go to them. If the problem is one we can actually fix, email us first — that is usually faster than a refund.

The account, which is optional

You can use the free app without ever signing in. Signing in with Google exists so the topics you have ticked off follow you to a new phone, and so a topic you have paid for can be fetched.

Keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You can delete the account whenever you like, either from inside the app or by writing to us; the deletion page sets out what goes and what stays.

Your content, and ours

Anything you write in the app — the answers you rewrite in your own words, the questions you add, your recordings — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it, we do not receive it, and we do not use it to train anything.

The app, its design, its practice material and its model answers belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us. You get a personal licence to use them for your own study while these terms apply. You may not resell them, republish them, extract the content in bulk, or use them to build a competing product.

One practical note rather than a legal one: the model answers are there to be adapted, not recited. An answer about a job that is not yours does not survive the examiner’s first follow-up question. Learn the shape and use your own life.

Using the app fairly

  • Use it for your own study. Do not share an account so that several people use one subscription.
  • Do not copy the content out to distribute or sell it.
  • Do not try to break, decompile or work around the paid tier.
  • Do not use the app for anything unlawful.

If an account is used in a way that clearly breaks these, we may withdraw access to it. We would rather write to you first, and normally will.

Availability, and changes

Most of the app works with no connection at all, but signing in, fetching a paid topic for the first time, and the purchase itself need one, and those depend on services we do not run. The pronunciation check depends on the speech recognition on your own phone, and not every phone has it for Norwegian. We do not promise the app will be available without interruption, and we may change or remove features as it develops.

If we ever discontinue the app while you hold a subscription, we will say so on this site, and you may seek a refund for the unused part through Google Play.

What we are responsible for

The app is provided as it is. We do not give warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not let us exclude — and in some countries consumer law gives you rights that nothing here reduces. Where you have those rights, they apply regardless of what this section says.

Subject to that, we are not liable for an exam result, a missed registration window, an exam fee you paid to anyone else, a residence or citizenship application that turns on a language requirement, lost time, lost earnings, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim — which, if you use it for free, is nothing. That is a real limit, and we would rather state it in plain words than hide it in a longer sentence.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending this agreement

You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. If you signed in, you can delete that account from inside the app or by asking us, and the deletion page explains how. Cancelling a subscription is separate, and is done through Google Play.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page and, for a change that materially affects you, say so in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, stop using it and seek a refund from Google Play if you are within their window.
